What would Barbie do ?

If you’re on the way to a gala event at Soho House and left behind your dress ask WWBD (What would Barbie do?) This was a Grace Beverly social influencer dilemma.
Get off the train in Witney (um..was she in a time machine?) and head for ‘New Look’, M&S and Hobbs, all well known to sell cage bras and posh boob tubes with designer labels.
This is apparently what social influencer Grace Beverely said she did in her post of November 3rd. After an unsuccessful shopping trip she referred to Witney as ‘England’s most favoured retirement village’. I wonder if she actually came to Witney or simply googled it? It’s certainly not a village.
Grace also takes selfies everywhere yet there are no selfies of her in Witney on social media. A little sad perhaps?
Before the train left London Grace realised that she’d left her outfit at the dry cleaners. Most folk would have returned to the dry cleaners and caught a later train, or stopped off in Oxford and gone to The Westgate Shopping Centre. But no she gets off the London train and makes her way to Witney !
If only people had known that famous influencers were going to be coming to the town they probably wouldn’t have shut Witney station to passengers in 1962.
Much like Barbie, social influencer Grace Beverley seems to be a symbol of self centred vanity.
Grace wants to be a political leader, she certainly has some of the what seem to be the right qualities ! She started in Law, interested in politics and great at popping up at events for photo opportunities . Wait…that sounds so familiar.
Err…maybe influence for a better World or campaign for less plastic.
