Description

Sound meditation invites deep rest and has been shown to improve many aspects of mental, physical, emotional, and spiritual health, including reduced stress, improved sleep and energy levels.

For every person the experience is unique, and each session provides a unique personal insight and replenishment. Come along and experience where sound can take you.

What does the session include?

The session begins by finding a comfortable rest position, maybe this is laid down, or seated propped up against the wall, with a short, guided voice meditation. After which the sound journey will begin, where you will be guided by a series of instruments, including the Tibetan Singing Bowls.

The sound vibrations travel deep within the body, with the aim to hold and nourish you in the way your body wants to receive. You will be softly guided out of the scripted meditation by the gentle voice of Emily.

At the end of the session, there will be time to discuss your individual experiences with the group if you wish. Tea will be available to allow integration and reflection of the session before we close.

Sound journeys can integrate over the hours and days following the session; rest well, stay hydrated and take time to notice sensations or emotions surfacing from within the body.

Benefits:

The practice can help rewire the brain, boosting mind and body health.   Music has been used throughout history to create positive effects on our mood, and as a form of therapy to heal the body, mind, and spirit. Many people find that after practicing sound healing techniques, they experience an increase in energy, improved mental clarity, increased creativity, and better relationships with self and others.  It can reduce stress, lower heart rate, and reduce pain and inflammation, which all contribute to better sleep quality and life balance.

What to Bring:

• Please wear comfortable, warm clothing as the body temperature often drops during meditation.

• It is recommend bringing something to rest your head on and a blanket to keep warm.

• Bring any extra props to support your rest practice if you would like (such as yoga blocks, cushions, bolsters or an eye pillow).

• Yoga mats are available, but please bring your own if you wish to create an extra soft space.
