Demerara Sugar Syrup

Use this syrup only for dark coloured drinks.

Making your own sugar syrup is very easy. Equal parts of Demerara sugar and water. Bring to boil, then reduce heat until sugar has melted but not turned colour. Do not stir (or the sugar can crystallise) Leave to cool and keep in fridge for up to a 3 weeks.
