An Old Fashioned cocktail is one of the simpler cocktails to make featuring either Bourbon or Rye Whiskey. It uses a Demerara sugar syrup. Place sugar cube in old fashioned glass (or Rocks Glass)
Soak sugar cube with Angostura bitter.
Add few dashes of plain water.
mix (or in bartenders speak – Muddle) until sugar is dissolved.
Fill the glass with ice and add whiskey.
Stir gently.
